The Troubleman Solo Singles Series (TMUSSS) was started to showcase people's solo talents. Everyone has a fucking solo project, and we actually found out that some (a very small portion) are actually GOOD. These are the good ones. Just like all the other "singles clubs" and shit like that, these releases are limited (usually to 500 copies) and are all hand numbered. Plus, some of these releases have crazy or stupid packaging. As a matter of fact, this series has jump-started solo careers for some of these people! So get in on the ground floor!! They usually sell out right away, so you should hurry and jump on the boat before they disappear.

SSS016/TMU057 AL BURIAN 7"
SOLD OUT
Al Burian is best known for his band Milemarker and his zine Burn Collector. His debut solo venture finds him swimming along the ocean of electro quite convincingly. Screened covers by The Heads Of State. Limited to 500 copies.
SSS014/TMU073 OCTIS 7"
SOLD OUT
We are pleased to announce our latest installment in the Troubleman Solo Singles Series (TMUSSS). OCTIS is Mick Barr from ORTHRELM's solo endeavor. Mick has been called one of the greatest guitarists in the underground, if not world/universe. This particular release finds Mick playing solo over programmed drum machine blast beats. The results are simply incredible. A total of 12 bursts of power. Is it thrash? Is it jazz? Is it metal? Is it "avant"? Who cares? What we DO know is that this shit is the future. Like all TMUSSS releases, this is limited to 500 hand-numbered copies. Essential listenings for fans of all musics.
SSS013/TMU072 RED RUMSEY 7"

SOLD OUT
On loan from Tiger Style Records, The Album Leaf is the moniker of one Jimmy Lavelle, the guitarist of the popular instrumental outfit Tristeza. SSS010/TMU065 ATOM AND HIS PACKAGE 7"

SSS009/TMU064 TIM KINSELLAS 12"/CD
Tim Kinsellas, vocalist of the popular indie rock outfit Joan of Arc, graces the Troubleman camp with his debut solo release. On this particular recording, Tim plays acoustic guitar, making this an extremely intimate affair not to be missed. Similarities to early Neil Young or Syd Barrett are evident, but the song structures are very original in Tim's signature style.

The Troubleman Solo Singles Series continues with D. Biddle. D. Biddle is Duncan Barlow of Endpoint/By the Grace of God, etc. This is his solo debut. SSS007/TMU056 THE ONE AM RADIO 7"
SOLD OUT
Hrishikesh Hirway is the The One AM Radio, delivering three delicate materpieces on this, the follow up to his split singles with Ted Leo and Jerome's Dream. SSS006/TMU052 TARA JANE O'NEIL 7"
SOLD OUT
Tara Jane O'Neil is best known for her work with such legendary bands as Rodan and Sonora Pine. This is just her playing solo. Her songs flow quietly through our subconscious and before we know it, it's all over. This single was released early for her US tour and it sold out very quickly.
SSS005/TMU051 TRANCE AND THE ARCADE 7"
Chuck Bettis of the Meta-matics and All-Scars goes solo for the TMUSSS. Three songs of laptop noise mania. Many of you remember him opening the TMU CMJ showcase last year, and clearing the room of A&R types (for the first of many times that evening). These songs are atmospheric at times, and pure noise at others. Excellent stuff. Limited to 500 hand numbered copies.

SSS003/TMU045 PETE DALE AKA THE WIMP 7"
Pete Dale is the singer of Red Monkey/Milky Wimpshake. He's a brilliant songwriter and a wonderful lyricist. The songs are catchy in a Billy Bragg/Billy Childish sort of way, and his playing is that of a well-trained folk singer. It's messy and heartfelt and catchy and witty and romantic and fearless. This single is limited to 500 hand numbered copies.
SSS002/TMU044 LUCKY JEREMY 7"
SOLD OUT
Lucky Jeremy is the keyboard player from Sean Na Na and when he gave us his solo recordings we immediately agreed to release it. The songs are morose and melancholy and the vocals are timid and disturbed. The first thing that comes to mind is Neil Young. It's almost uncanny. Limited to 500 hand numbered copies.
SSS001/TMU038 CURRITUCK COUNTY 7"
SOLD OUT
Debut of the Troubleman Unlimited Solo Singles Series. Kevin Barker from Chicago's Aden (on Teenbeat) plays acoustic, well crafted songs not unlike heroes of long ago Nick Drake or Neil Young - intricate yet delicate and hook ridden. A true songwriter. 3 songs limited to 500 copies.
