TMU 040 SONG OF ZARATHUSTRA "The Birth Of Tragedy" CD SONG OF ZARATHUSTRA formed in March of 1997, shortly after Trever left SHORTWAVE CHANNEL (featuring Russell and Michelle of CAMERA OBSCURA). Their sound is hard to describe accurately. SONG OF ZARATHUSTRA takes the anger in hardcore and mixes it with a cannon-like drum machine (as well as a live drummer), making an odd mixture of goth/industrial, thrash, as well as NEUROSIS-esque "doom" breaks. People have called them a mixture of DRIVE LIKE JEHU and VSS. Either way, they have a new take on the otherwise tired genre. One of the staff faves of 2000! STILL AVAILABLE.
