The ever-so-popular Troubleman Solo Singles Series (TMUSSS) rambles on, and we are proud to introduce our latest project. On loan from Tiger Style Records, THE ALBUM LEAF is the moniker of one Jimmy Lavelle, the guitarist of the popular instrumental outfit TRISTEZA. He has also played in THE LOCUST and SWING KIDS, among others.
But this is all about Jimmy's work as a solo artist. These instrumental songs are sparse and atmospheric, and show a side of Jimmy not seen in TRISTEZA. There are moments of utter beauty, in an almost naturistic, soothing way. We have never heard songs with such subtle power.
