TMU 119 ERASE ERRATA
"At Crystal Palace" LP/CD

"At Crystal Palace" is the second full length record by San Fransisco's ERASE ERRATA. Recorded over two weeks at San Francisco's Tiny Telephone Studios in Winter 2003, the album presents a more firmly realized vision of Other Animals' skeletal possibilities. Though still high-energy and rocket-fuse quick, the new songs are moodier (good and bad) and more defined. The band's extensive touring over the past two years is reflected in the tightness and ease with which the album's 13 songs are executed. ERASE ERRATA knows noisy and nice, dancey and disco-shy. ERASE ERRATA rides on electricity, all twinkling lights and power surges. Bianca's drums are steady with shapes like waves, Ellie's bass an improbable anchor. Sara uses her guitar like scissors and tape. Jenny croons fantasy and talks diatribes of the everyday. Oh yeah, she plays trumpet too.

Following the immense success of their debut "Other Animals" (TMU 081), they've opened for the likes of The Fall, Le Tigre, Fugazi, The Ex and Sonic Youth (who hand-picked ERASE ERRATA to perform as their guests at the prestigious All Tomorrow's Parties festival in 2002). In addition, in 2002, ERASE ERRATA was named Best Indie Band in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Weekly and was nominated for the prestigious Short List Awards by Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon. Holy shit, this record SMOKES.
