"Sexual Infinity" CD (Hospital Productions)

'marcia bassett of double leopards, hototogisu, ghq, fame on her first proper solo full length has given us one of our favorites in the history of hospital productions. sexual infinty stands refreshingly organized into six escalating pieces of her signature guitar, voice, and electronic moodscapes entrancing the listener with sinister seduction. comparisons to early 80's power electronics and industrial acts as uncommunity, mauthausen orchestra and ramleh reside in the underbelly of zaïmph's ability to generate ominous, gritty, and doom laden atmosphere cloaked in a thick lush drone. what begins with raw ethereal guitar shadows of longing delight closes with vital gripping electronic tension.' limited to 1000 and will not be repressed. almost gone.

RESTOCK. got a few more of these things. act fast. when henry told me these are sick looking i didnt believe him but he proved me wrong! seriously worth every penny. Collected from over 17 hours of live footage, "Anthem" is a 3 1/2 hour, 44 song live documentary chronicling this band from their first shows in early 1993 to their recent stint of reunion shows. Shot almost entirely on broadcast quality television cameras (by a guy that worked in the business), "Anthem" is a mandatory release for any fan of the band or any fan of metal, avant-garde or plain old rock and roll. Justice Yeldham & The Dynamic Ribbon Device

Live in Beirut 7" (Chondritic Sound)

intense shit here. Justice is a guy who regularly chews on amplified plate glass. Its safe to say that nothing like this was ever witnessed in the lebanease capital before short of the civil war which is how many audience memebers described the sound of the honourable justices performances in the still turbulant city. justice played on a sheet of broken glass he found at the beirut - damascus taxi terminal, an infamous place where many muslims where tortured and killed by the phalangists. the single's cover depicts the sticker that was on the sheet of glass played on the 02/06/04 which was found in the semi ruined building. this is ESSENTIAL. serious shit here. 500 made. sold out from source

Pissed Jeans

Shallow LP (Parts Unknown)

yikes! this shit smokes! Allentown is like the New brunswick of 1997 or something... but seriously, PISSED JEANS crawl out from under hardcore's seedy underbelly to blast out eight tracks of droning punk noise. Calling to mind the warped visions of Fang, Flipper, and Crucifucks in front of a harsh, blown-out backdrop. Recommended for people who never get out of bed, pop their zits with sweaty fingers and didn't have a date for the prom. Now on Sub Pop.

Gaping Maw

Two Improvisations CD (Archive)

"yeah yeah more improv stuff....Kurt Johnson most notable I suppose would be his stint as the bassist for the Chicago based FLYING LUTTENBACHERS. Anyway Kurt is a fellow hainoıphile and someone Iıve corresponded with over the years. He bought one of the Haino double discs from me and when I shipped in his package I threw in the Dikeman CD, as I knew he circulated a little amongst some of the folks on that disc. Kurt emailed back and mentioned that he had played some gigs with Tatsuya Nakatani and that heıd send them out for me to check out. Cool, totally liked Tatsuya percussion work on the handful of discs I have of him. Mail comes like a week or so later I drop the disc in the tray and wholly shit this infernal racket comes slamming out the speakers fantastic I thought sounds like the whole damn band kicked down a flight of stairs over and over. I was def. expecting some light noodling or polite improv. Work but I suppose with Kurtıs background I should have known better. After a few listens I pitched him on the idea and we squared away the details and we had a release!! Def. a low-end thundering herd monster of a release. Kind of old material that had been kicking around awhile. Two different live sets one from late 01, the other from 02, but I think itıs cool they get to see the light of day."

$15.00

LSD March

Empty Rubious Red CD (Archive)

we found more of these-they are long sold out!!! "So when I did the sales on the Earth Live Hex I also did distro on a micro self released by LSD March Called ³empty rubious Red² Shinsuke had sent one of these to me with the LSD March Live master. The record took me by surprise as everything I had heard to date was fairly lo-fi garage type psych work. This CD was totally different quiet somber almost sad songs. The entire CD was nearly a solo effort with Shinsuke playing almost everything on the disc minus drums on two tracks. I inquired about getting copies of the Cd for distro since I liked it so much and bought 50 copies. Of the total pressing that Shinsuke said was only 200. Seemed like a no brainer at that point to ask about doing the re-issue as I thought the disc was too good to let slip away to be unheard. We ended up doing 600 copies in re-issue with Joe Denardo (Growing) using graphic elements from the live CD for this layout. One of the things I liked so much about the live disc and this one was the disc face graphic work to show that off better we used an acetate cover of a cloud so you could see more of this as the focal image of swirling hair. The re-issue also contains an extra take of the title trax and had some slight brushing up on the mastering side from Mr. Plotkin once again."

$15.00

Attempt

$7.00

Burning Star Core

West Coast Spring 2004 LP (What The..? Records)

"For the curious and complete we present a new imprint seeking specific live experience on a vinyl format. Our first edition is from the Burning Star Core, this time caught in a duo of C. Spencer Yeh on voice and violin, and Robert Beatty (Hair Police, Eyes and Arms of Smoke, Three Legged Race) on his self-style "acoustic appraiser" and electronics, during the spring in 2004 on tour with LA language Open City. Burning Star Core timeline watches would place this same time when the collaboration LP with Comets on Fire was recorded, and when "Let's Play Wild Like Wilcats Do" was first available as limited CD-R. Two complete sets from Seattle WA and San Francisco CA, what was felt was the very best ones from previous archive cassette collection on Yeh's quiet vanity imprint Dronedisco. The flavor of this time is very stripped down with attention to destiny and velocity; for fans of raw electronics, vocal action and hyper-dry violin, with some brief drone to control an eye and ear out for the future of WHAT THE..? records!". 300 copies only. VERYLIMITED quantities.

$17.00

Growing/Mark Evan Burden

Split LP (The Generation Tapes)

This recording, "Firmament", is from a 2002 session. Mark Evan Burden's solo recording is a beautiful composition of electronics and piano. This will sell very fast so hurry. Remember how fast the tapes went???

The Vanishing Voice

Nordic Visions LP

lp reissue of the super limited cdr that sold out in a heartbeat. Donıt let this one pass you by. "While Wooden Wand and Satya Sai jammed with the Sky High Band in beautiful California, the Vanishing Voice dug in deep in the frozen northeast. Snowed in with utopian texts and mounting paranoia, Steven the Harvester, Heidi White Diamond Diehl, and Pete Wolfy Nolan joined Nonhorse in an abandoned textile factory, boiling out these ballads of suspended disbelief and hope for the better world." - Vanishing Voice. Limited to 525 copies. IMPORT!

Walter Carson & Three Legged Race

Nocturnal Hymn cassette (Heavy Tapes)

Walter Carson is Walter Carson, from Lexington, KY, and The Three Legged Race is Robert Beatty, also from Lexington, KY (and such illustrious combos as The Hair Police and The Eyes and Arms of Smoke). Together these two one-man acts make a formidable duo, capable of the harshest and bleakest of psych-noise landscapes, but also of long stretches of cooling-smoke beauty, and it's all run through a not-so-secret "20th Century Classical" filter. fucking KILLER. We all know these will not last... VERY ltd.

$11.00

$17.00

Pedestrian Deposit

Volatile CD (Hospital/Hanson)

long awaited destructo fest here. This thing totally almost killed my car speakers! or his first full-length album on the ³real² CD medium (after a string of limited cassettes and CD-Rs), Pedestrian Deposit has pulled out all the stops, unleashing a solid hour of chaotic noise thatıs as textured and varied as it is exhaustingly harsh. Volatile is an album that begs to be listened to on headphones, where the true depth of its sound field becomes almost overpowering; thereıs plenty of frantic panning and moments when different sounds are pouring out of each channel, and even when there isnıt the subtle layering of noises is much more nuanced on headphones. Despite the fiery intensity and near-constant wall-of-sound at work here, this album demands close listening to be appreciated. Because on the surface, it may sound like just another harsh noise release all pedal effects and wailing untraceable blocks of crunchy static. But under scrutiny, itıs obvious that there is a wealth of detail splattered under that surface. (stylus magazine)...

Prurient/Akitsa

Split CD (Hospital)

unholy split cd. Akitsa is true black metal and Prurient is true black noise. Starts with five minutes ambient/noise which leads into the remaining fifteen minutes. Raw BM played at half-speed (different to the ABSURD/ILDJARN influence on albums like Sang Nordique), but vocals being the most impressive--tormented, painful with demented expression. Recorded somewhere between 2000-2003. Prurient does one 30 minute ambient/noise recording from the respected project of Dominick Fernow - "Fossil" recorded live February 13, 2020. Excellent work, uses soft classical pieces in the background contrasted with high electrical pitches and low-end frequencies, mixed with some live effects and highly distorted vocals (lyrics included in booklet). Ltd quantities!

$5.00

Popular Shapes

B-Ball Music Songs 7" (Hate The 80s)

As the last will and testament of Popular Shapes, 'B-Ball Music' is clearly Popular Shapes' most focused and cohesive effort. Savvy listeners will be reminded of The Fall, Le Shok, The Victims and Wire within these two tracks, assuming they weren't knocked over by the sweaty bodies splashing wine from a box. Intricate guitar interplay coasts freely like the plot of The OC while squirmy vocals free themselves from a box. The emphasis is clearly on song-writing, but the exuberance of four boys patting each other shirtless remains as bright a glare as Ford Explorer floodlights. It's rare that a band comes along where all the pieces fit seamlessly, equally throbbing and subdued. -(label ) This is OOP as well. Get it here. On killer splatter vinyl with full color heavy-stock covers and labels, thus the price.. But well worth it.

Band consisting of Josh Blair (Orthrelm/Supersystem), Chuck Bettis (Meta Matics, Trance and the Arcade, Measles Mumps Rubella, local noise legend), Jerry Lim (another local NY noise legend, Castro). This band formed soon after Meta Matics broke up. Old school shit here !! Free noise improv awesomeness that hints at what these folks would expand to do years later. Recorded 1996-1998. Awesome!

Electroputas

Piano Blooms 12" (Social Registry)

NYC mainstay, and one of the most unbderrated around, the Putas are great because they rock not unlike Can or Neu or any other 3-lettered Kraut band. Or is it psych? Or is ti noise? Its tough to tell these days. Dazzling release. vinyl only. part of the Social Registry 12" series. Ltd to 600 copies.

$9.00

Electroputas

3 LP (Social Registry)

The brand new lp from NYC's noise-mavens Electroputas is upon us and it is a heavy affair. Hand woven to thick analog tape over six months, this record opens up the stride of this criminally under exposed outfit. The sprawling results at times brings to mind such notable luminaries as Can, Chrome, Lightning Bolt or the more musical ramblings of Ciccone Youth. With this record the trio has managed to take their unrelenting live sound into a wholly new direction. Extremely ltd vinyl release.

$11.00

Hall Of Fame

Paradise Now LP (Social Registry)

Hall Of Fame's fourth record; recorded over a year at the famed Rare Book Room in Brooklyn where Samara Lubewski moonlights as an engineer--- allowing the trio to take their compositions further into the ether. Carefully sculpting not only the inherent energies of the compositions but also drawing every audible element into the fold whether it be a slow drawn violin scrap, fluttering percussion or the slow echo of a vintage Ampeg Amplifier. Super limited vinyl version.

Companion Trio

Our Customs CD (Mass Particles)

How can anyone think about ending it all, or losing it all, when tomorrow might bring steamed cauliflower? Another day to appreciate the genius of Gerry Thomas, or the beauty of a slow train to Baikal? More time to marvel at the wonders of the desert shrimp? Beauty, wonder, and genius...and yet, surely this is music with a hidden cruelty, like pfisteria, lurking in the waters of the Chesapeake unbeknownst to the trout farmers. Adventurous sound not unlike the voyage of the Endurance. Our Customs is are and was all of these things and more. YOU NEED THIS!

$10.00

All-Scars

Lunar Magus CD (Mass Particles/Dischord)

The third full-length album from Washington DC's All-Scars, could be construed as the soundtrack to an imaginary horror flick. Picture, or listen to, a place where sound is the only sense, where landscapes are colored by surreal intonations and punctuated by frenetic percussion. Recorded from 2001-2002, the album is a raucous culmination of compositions that span the range of heavy metal, Korean shamanism, West African drumming, techno, country, and Hasidic traditions. Members of Trance and the Arcade/Meta-matics (Chuck), and Fugazi sometimes (Jerry). A TROUBLEMAN FAVORITE!
