-
OK
Everything Is Going To Be 7" (Lifes A Rape)
Awesome Crass pisstake cover and definitely a throwback to the Crass Records sound as well, and thats a good thing. Female fronted Crass style punk. Think Honey Bane, Flux Of Pink Indians, or Shaved Women era Crass. 100% essential and one of my favorite 7" releases this year. Everything on this label sells out fast so dont sleep!$5.00
-
BLUE SABBATH BLACK CHEER/DRIED UP CORPSE
Split 10" (Gnarled Forest)
Originally released as a c16 on What We Do Is Secret in an edition of 50 copies. Two bleak and desolate trips to despairsville are what await you here, BSBC take a more minimulist approach to horror than the usual roar, sure to make you a bit uneasy. DUC ride a slow drone of death into the winds of the end. Housed in a screen printed jacket, front and back, with a double sided insert, edition 300.$15.00
-

-
HEAD MOLT/LAZY MAGNET
Split 7" (Lazy Magnet/Flish)
Filthy filthy hardcore thrash noise on one side and harsh noise on the other. No core, yes hard. Super obscure and unknown by all. I think from Louisiana or Virginia? Fuck, who know. I think 150 made? 200? Whatever. Shit kills.$6.00
-
THE PINK NOISE
Menagerie Cassette (Jerkwave)
Another release following his sacred bones and almost ready releases...by this amazing act on the label run by Dead Luke himself, who also happens to jam live with Zola Jesus sometimes. Electronic and organic drumming with keys with staccato punk guitar blasts--think the Residents played through a Big Muff. A double sider of deranged bedroom punk that shames the dozens of one-man-bands hunched over a Tascam trying to make a cheap knockoff of the original. The record sounds like it was mastered through a boombox onto a thriftstore cassette. Out of print from label. Keep in mind this is one of the best tape labels out there. Hurry this won't last.$7.00
-

THE BEETS
LP (Captured Tracks)
Debut twelve-track LP from these proud sons of Jackson Heights, Queens. Sprung from seemingly nowhere to playing constantly in Brooklyn. Shades of Los Mockers, Chicos Electricos, pre '65 Stones, early Ramones and Shimmy-Disc era Daniel Johnston. I saw these guys almost start a riot at a Fashion Week event and then proceed to party down with Mickey Rourke. Absolutely amazing. ps: Captured Tracks is Mr Blank Dogs new label. BURNT HILLS
Over the Rainbow LP (Noiseville)
From the cloud that surrounds an upstate New York neighborhood every Monday night comes Burnt Hills. Jackson from Flipped Out/Erl records has assembled a team of fellow space travellers and guides their path on this free-form jam session flawlessly. Sure, anyone can get a basement full of freaks together and jam, but few can make it sound this good. Get this before you need a prescription just to listen to it. Part of the Noiseville Outer Bound Of Sound Series. All records are limited to 300 and they are mostly sold out. We only have a handful of these. So hurry up.$20.00

TIMMY'S ORGANISM
Squeeze the Giant 2x7" (Sacred Bones)
Sacred Bones is proud to present this 5-song EP spread across two 7-inches from Timmy's Organism, the solo alter-ego of Human Eye frontman and Clone Defects mastermind Timmy Vulgar, along with members of Hamtramck's Terrible Twos. Traversing the gap between the disjointed Helios Creed-inspired work of Human Eye's skronky punk and more spacey, out there explorations, Timmy's Organism is the next logical step in a family of Michigan noise that includes the now defunct Pirhanas as well as Tentacle Lizardo, The Frustrations, Reptile forcefield and even Tyvek. More stripped down and raw than anything Human Eye has done to date but no less intense! Don't miss out on this one!$11.00
-
NAKED ON THE VAGUE
Chitty Chat 7" (Sacred Bones)
"Chitty Chat" b/w "Goodbye Dear Cliche" - Australia's Naked on the Vague return for another two-sider of serious harsh downer vibes. Drum, synth, bass and vocal ferocity from this male/female duo that comes out sounding like a surprisingly more danceable version of Whitehouse. Fans of last year's Skulltones 7-inch and Siltbreeze full-length won't be disappointed. The band will be touring the US with Blank Dogs and will appear at this year's Sacred Bones showcase at SXSW. A MUST OWN!$6.00
-
NICE FACE
Mnemonic Device 7" (Sacred Bones)
"Mnemonic Device" b/w "Situation Is Facing Utter Annihilation" The third single from Nice Face follows on the heels of the recent HoZac 7-inch and an appearance on the "Wild About Jenkem" compilation alongside like-minded fellow travelers Wizzard Sleeve and Livefastdie. "Mnemonic Device" is a slower plodding mid-tempo song driven by a hypnotic repeating keyboard line and fuzzed out vocals. "Situation Is Facing Utter Annihilation" on the flip is the punkest Nice Face track to date bridging the gulf between disjointed no-fi punk rock and sinister synth and drum machine derangement. Keep an eye out for forthcoming live dates from this heretofore bedroom-only project.$6.00
-
GARY WAR
Zontag 7" (Sacred Bones)
Sacred Bones presents the followup release to last year's New Raytheonport full-length LP on Shdwply Records. Gary War's keyboard and tape manipulations exist in the loner sphere somewhere between the Legendary Pink Dots' keyboard driven take on UK psychedelia and current fellow travelers like the Pink Noise. Like the LPD or Ariel Pink (to whom he's garnered comparisons since the debut LP release) the odd experimental arrangements and off-kilter instrumentation never stray very far from melancholy pop song structures rooted around a catchy hook and melody.$6.00
-
SPIRIT PHOTOGRAPHY
Time is Racing 7" (Sacred Bones)
Debut release from this San Diego three piece that includes members of Christmas Island. Two tracks of unpleasant and foreboding post-punk with baritone vocals in the vein of Douglas P and early DIJ. Look out for future releases including a track on the Charles de Goal tribute Expositions (str8line records), a 4-way split 7-inch with Sharp Ends, O Voids, Ale Mania (Volar Records), a cassette only release on Neon Aztec, and the HHH/The Centre Cannot Hold 12-inch$6.00
-
MAX ELLIOTT
The Nature o' Nature 7" (Sacred Bones)
Sparsely arranged folk from Absinthe Minds member Max Elliott. The central Wisconsin singer/songwriter's dark acid folk hovers close around the lone guitar/vocal arrangements with subtle percussive accompaniment at points. This is not the folk of Jewel or Devendra Banhardt....think along the lines of Beard of Stars-era T-Rex or Simon Finn's Pass The Distance. Raspy voiced tales of death, woe, and redemption. If you were quick enough to catch the 13-song cassette on Jerkwave last year you know what you're in for; if you missed it, don't sleep on this one.$6.00
-
ROBEDOOR
Rancor Keeper LP (Seacave)
Rancor Keeper is a maelstrom of deep, dark noise constructions, spewing forth torrents of contorted instrumentation (believe it or not there's cello, guitar, percussion and keyboards buried in here) and harrowed, wailing voices. Californian duo Alex and Britt seem to have refined their unholy din for this release, distilling the Robedoor sound to a godless horror show of atmospheric sonic punishment. While pieces like "Penitent Runes" and "Abyss Whisperer" certainly sound hellish, there's always some sort of harmonic cogency lurking in the details, but by the time we reach fifteen-minute closer "Wendigo Psychosi" the pair really plummet into the furthermost reaches of noise, initially falling through a gentle five-minute drone passage, before ultimately combusting into a feathery, distorted mass. the brother band of Pocahaunted perhaps?? edition fo 500. will fly. also check out the other ROBEDOOR lp we havde in the tmu store.$15.00
-

PRURIENT
The Black Post Society CD (Cold Spring)
His newest release, and most intense. You can hear the black metal influence coming through. Dark and depressing. The Black Post Society embraces and accepts the depression of not having anything left to hunt. The mask without a face to hold. The depression of the hunter after the deer is killed. It is better to be hungry than to have eaten. As fantasy shatters under the whip of reality, erotic malaise settles in the nest of the mind inverting this dormant fuel to rekindle the endless cycle of sexual chaos. Black Industrial/Power Noise. 100% essential.$11.00
-
AMERICAN BAND
Low Fiction LP (Hot Releases)
full-length collaboration between Lee Counts, Matt Franco (of Air Conditioning, Holy Family Parish), and Jason Crumer - power tools on scrap metal, and by the way one of the rawest light shows of any band ever (sheets and sheets of sparks). This record is more spare and moody than their first, lush/industrial, elegiac sanders and spareness building up to and blasted away by the brutal second side. got this cheap from the band! order this, the Crumer/Franco, and Endless Humiliation - they are all amazing! hand made covers. (Footage from their No Fun show here)$10.00
-
ENDLESS HUMILIATION
White Angel LP (AHAZIAH)
Along with the Crumer/Franco lp this is yet another pretty limited and very obscure Air Conditioning offshoot. This time adding Bethlehem PA scene maker Arthur Riszk. Harsh noise at its best. This band was part of the fabled Jeff The Pigeon scene that is no longer around, unfortunately. If you want a future cult label - you got one here. Hand screened covers edition of 300. Most sold out through pre orders. So grab this now, along with the Crumer/Franco lp below. you won't be dissapointed! Don't say we didnt warn you later on!$16.00
-
NIHILIST ASSAULT GROUP
Silent Movie LP + DVD (Hospital Productions)
Silent movie documents the only known live performance of the alias of the New Blockaders at no fun fest. The DVD holds only silent footage and one must spin the vinyl to hear the sound while witnessing this futile destruction. DVD features additional commentary by g.x. jupiter-larsen. I was at the show and it was insane. Edition of 500. Grab it fast.$19.00
-
WHITE HETEROSEXUALS
Modern Sexuality LP (At War With False Noise)
Restock. This group is gathering steam as of late as one of the forerunners of the UB harsh noise/PE scene. We had this in stock and it sold out in a day so we grabbed more for you. Like I always say- heavy Whitehouse/SJ/mid period Prurient worship here- but in the best possible way. This band has ties to the band Total Abuse. A disgusting and necessary record. Very limited pressing obviously. With hand glued covers.$15.00
-
SHARPWAIST/WATERDOGS
split Cassette (Breathing Problem)
6 tracks of ultra distorted and destryoed synth. buried shouts and screams under layers of electronic buzz and filth. "sniffer's rash" is a concept recording relating to inhalant abuse. EACH CASSETTE COMES WRAPPED IN A RED RAG DOUSED WITH SPRAY PAINT. we have the last copies.$6.00

-
SHIFT
7" (Heidenlarm Sounds)
Just found 3 copies in our distro box. Long out of print! First release from Swedish Noise artist Shift. The title track initiates proceedings with dark ambient soundscapes and strong industrial rhythms, developing into heavy electronics. Flipping over, 'Jag Var I Kulverten' opens into a vast industrial soundscape, carried by a subtle repetitive melody. Heavily distorted low and mid frequency textures dominate the early moments, giving way to confrontational high-pitched abrasions. Heavyweight, clear vinyl presented in a stunning sleeve with artwork by Stephen O'Malley (Sunn O))), Khanate etc). Ltd x 500.$5.00
-

LITURGY
Immortal Life LP (Infinite Limbs)
Mysterious one man Brooklyn black metal project that has been gathering much attention lately. ARA
Pick Up & Run 2007 LP (What the...? Records)
What The is a secret side label of C Spencer Yeh of dronedisco/burning starcore fame. captures two very performances of reed instruments, singing, percussion, and a very hazy thick atmosphere what might float over the flower fireworks captured in these two very performances. Ara is the Lexington KY-based duo of Sara O'Keefe and Trevor Tremaine of such outfits as Eyes and Arms of Smoke, Hair Police, Burning Star Core, Sick Hour, Death Unit, and Rampart Tapes board of direction. However these adjectives of death sick police, of those maybe there need to be new descriptions in place -- we're not quite sure what it is but in this alternate universe it could be the Peace Police, Skywatcher Hour, Life Unit, Colourful Star Party, etc. who are close neighbors. Fleeting "jazz" reference, male/female lowlife love vocals, drugstore basement electroacoustic, just warm and cloudy all over like a yesterday today. Feature the most complicated WHAT THE..? record covers so far, each unique handmade and silkscreened by Paul Coors; the materials you have grown come use to except melted together in rare effort. Paintspray turns into watercolours, perfume, and northern lights -- with a mini-poster and edition of 177 (there is no controls on Mother Nature)$18.00

AHLZAGAILZEHGUH
Misinterpreted Injury 2x7" (R+M)
By now Ahlzagailzehguh has become established as one of the current leaders of harsh/cut-up noise. Misinterpreted Injury, his first release on the 7" format deals with the trauma associated with the loss of a kidney at the age of 9. It consists of four meticulous side long tracks that display complete control of left-right speaker counterpoint, frequency manipulation, and overall compositional form. This is not your typical harsh noise study, but a true masterwork. The artwork was designed by James himself and is pro-printed folding on cardstock with front, back, and inner design. The first 7" is translucent red and the second is translucent yellow, both featuring printed labels. Ltd. 300.$14.00
-
SHALLOW WATERS
Equal Eyes LP (Hospital)
The first full length of this heavily active live unit from providence, ri. there is no solid footing in shallow waters. only a suffocating hail of falling rock, strangling vines, and sinkholes. it is with rare exception that voice spits the last of breaths, the dying breaths, with such spite. like a rabbit trapped in the hole of the snakes throat, this duo comprised of members of immaculate:grotesque and em dath rir batter and tear there way through 6 tracks of power electronics eco-fallout and revolutionary anger. although there is not one moment of relief in this litany of rage shallow waters separates themselves from the pack by creating what an album and not just a collection of tracks with the focus of a sniper and the fury of napalm. get into the fight. only sold thru Hospital shop and mailorder, and HERE. Very limited.$15.00
-
ANAKRID
feverdreamfever LP (Stereonucleosis)
Critically acclaimed sound artists Anakrid present another in a series of limited run explorations into alien occultic territory. Hailing from the same school of abstract surrealism that brought the world Nurse With Wound, Hafler Trio, SPK, and Coil, Anakrid presents a unique take on the "difficult listening" genre with a passionately constructed and focused dynamic racket. Veering from the contemporary groupthink of noise for the sake of noise, Anakrid takes the listener on journies through bizarre soundscapes without being overly long-winded in the approach. A refreshing get-in and get-out policy creates an LP that is essentially 12 mini Robotrips on wax. Each piece is a ritual excursion unto itself, yet the etirety of the album works brilliantly as a whole (or as a hole). 200 made with beautiful hand printed covers. excellent release!$15.00
-

ROBEDOOR
Shrine to the Professor LP (Music Fellowship)
Another in house TMU fave..Dark epic drone. This one is pure darkness - no light, no air, just tortured souls and echoed cries. Three epic droning processionals built from the heaviest, thickest low-end tones. The sound of indentured servants from a scorched dustbowl wasteland. Caveman aesthetic pushed to its limits by recording to eight analog channels. Recorded by Bobb Bruno at Bored Fortress HQ in Eagle Rock, CA. Artwork by Andy Spore. Includes silkscreened 11x17 poster. Limited and numbered to 500.$17.00

NICO VASCELLARI
Taxonomy Book (Cujo)
Nico is a working noise/visual artist based out of Italy. We met him through John Wiese, as he was a huge supporter of his work. He sent us this box of books and we were floored by the quality of his work. His work ranges from sketches to old hardcore flyers to altered photographs. A beautiful work. The book is a super thick, high quality, professional bound, full color larger digest-size wrapped in beautiful oversized silkscreened cover. Hand numbered edition of 1000 copies. We are selling these dirt cheap to support Nico. These retail for over $30 in stores. Please add this to your order, you will not regret it!$8.00

NAGISA YOKO and JUSTIN SIMON
Kayoko Nonsense 12" (Mesh-Key)
If Asakawa Maki were possessed with Iggy Pop's soul, if Lydia Lunch's spirit invaded Eri Chiemi, if Wada Akiko grew her hair out and popped some hallucinogens, still none would outshine Tokyo's enigmatic psychedelic kayokyoku/enka/chanson singer, NAGISA YOKO. Yoko has released five albums (including a 12"on Konishi of PIZZICATO FIVE's Readymade label) and a slew of singles. She has worked with producers as varied as 1960's "Group Sounds" legends HAPPENINGS FOUR and noise-musician turned literary superstar Nakahara Masaya (VIOLENT ONSEN GEISHA, HAIR STYLISTICS). This release is a special one-time collaboration between old friends Justin Simon and Nagisa Yoko. Justin's songwriting and production take Yoko into much weirder territory than her usual output. It also features fellow Yoko fan and notorious underground Tokyo journalist Naruse's ode to Yoko, recorded in Inogashira park. The B-side features a vinyl etching by Hisham Bharoocha (ex-BLACK DICE), meticulously carved onto a blank metal plate specifically for this collaboration. Takuyuki Moriya, bass player for GHOST, plays bass on one track as well. Justin is also in Invisible Conga People. 200 made! hand-numbered.$15.00

CHRISTIAN FAMILY UNDERGROUND
For the Depth Of Your Union LP (Woodist/Fuck It Tapes)
Family Underground collaborates with Dave Nuss of No Neck Blues Band. ---- Summer 06 Family Underground (DK) recorded with Dave Nuss of NNCK at Black Dirt Studios in the woods of upstate NY. The yield was as characteristically unhinged as one might expect: sweeping electronic sounds backed with wood and bone percussion spirit-conjure. However also harvested was some new and especially tasty crop: sung and spoken song, electric guitar 'rock,' and an odd ghostly sheen coating the entire proceeding. Nuss comments on the session: "i remember when we were recording, momentarily leaving the studio and going out into the night and feeling it thicken like a partition separating us from this intense state of clear consciousness we had in the recording, which was like humankinds natural state. And then thinking about Jesper from FU, an adopted Vietnamese living in DK, and how much he resembles Michael Jackson, and realizing that across continents no man can be divided from himself. We had to make this music to provide for us some fantasy of fulfillment that would carry us through the weekend like rejuvenated suns born again climbing to heaven, after being washed in the deepest bluest sea." Jacket by designer Susan Cianciolo and screened inserts as well. very limited quantities$15.00

NVH/Ben Chasny
Plays The Book Of Revelations LP (Yik Yak)
Ben (Six Organs Of Admittance) and other Comets on Fire dudes do the killer noise thing. with killer crucifix style cover. INTENSE! "So what's this whole Chasny / NVH thing about anyway, well, you won't find any dreamy folky prettiness here. This lp is all about the noise. The noise a guitar and god knows what else can conjure up. This is some serious noiserock. Heck, there's no rock to speak of, this is just good ol' noise. But not really -just- noise, there's a whole lot going on. It's just all wrapped in some of the most corrosive seriously damaged skree we've heard in ages. Guitars careen everywhere, huge walls of crumbling distortion tumble onto blown out riffs, FX drenched squiggles are everywhere, angular melodies are twisted and tangled into psychedelic squalls, riffs are pulled apart into squealing keening roaring parts and hurled separately into the mix bouncing wildly off each other. Here and there the blown out rumbles coalesce into thick buzzing drones, and pretty melodies drift in and out, but are quickly overpowered. Imagine locking Keiji Haino and Kawabata Makoto in a a tiny room, armed with nothing but guitars, distortion pedals and a wall of amps each, dueling to the death, the results recorded and played back through a bank of busted effects. Wild and weird. And pretty fucking awesome. But definitely another one for the iron eared... Packaged in a super elaborate fold out sleeve, all black, with black printing, black inner sleeve, and the outer jacket unfolds into a massive (upside down?) crucifix!! Super limited too, so don't snooze on this one.....ltd to 666 copies. hurry.$24.00

Tom Grimley
Never Mind the Abstention, Here's the Semi-Automatic c30 (Heavy Tapes)
This tape is a series of recordings of an automated electronic ensemble - independent agents designed and built by Tom Grimley to perform his music for him. Side "A" includes studies for the full piece and the full recording of "Never Mind..." while side B contains "Studies for a New Trio." Both of these recordings are remarkably new and fascinating -- new and unheard voices interact and produce something that warrants close attention -- there are layers of discussion and projection, hums, creaks, whistles, throbs, and more. First in a planned series of projects with Heavy Tapes and Tom. new Heavy Tapes packaging for this second wave is 100% different- almost letterpressed covers - VERY expensive to make! well worth it though.$11.00
-
Jazzfinger
Tour of the Moors Volume 1 c60 (Heavy Tapes)
Jazzfinger have managed to span chronology and geography with their destructive path of sonic dedication and abandon. This tape collects two live performances where the group floats recorders, voices, and electricity through the channels and pipes of a true clutch of old school heads -- a very worthwhile picture indeed. new Heavy Tapes packaging for this second wave is 100% different- almost letterpressed covers - VERY expensive to make! well worth it though.$11.00

Justice Yeldham & The Dynamic Ribbon Device
Live in Beirut 7" (Chondritic Sound)
intense shit here. Justice is a guy who regularly chews on amplified plate glass. Its safe to say that nothing like this was ever witnessed in the lebanease capital before short of the civil war which is how many audience memebers described the sound of the honourable justices performances in the still turbulant city. justice played on a sheet of broken glass he found at the beirut - damascus taxi terminal, an infamous place where many muslims where tortured and killed by the phalangists. the single's cover depicts the sticker that was on the sheet of glass played on the 02/06/04 which was found in the semi ruined building. this is ESSENTIAL. serious shit here. 500 made. sold out from source$8.00

-
Prurient/Akitsa
Split CD (Hospital)
unholy split cd. Akitsa is true black metal and Prurient is true black noise. Starts with five minutes ambient/noise which leads into the remaining fifteen minutes. Raw BM played at half-speed (different to the ABSURD/ILDJARN influence on albums like Sang Nordique), but vocals being the most impressive--tormented, painful with demented expression. Recorded somewhere between 2000-2003. Prurient does one 30 minute ambient/noise recording from the respected project of Dominick Fernow - "Fossil" recorded live February 13, 2003. Excellent work, uses soft classical pieces in the background contrasted with high electrical pitches and low-end frequencies, mixed with some live effects and highly distorted vocals (lyrics included in booklet). Ltd quantities!$11.00

Popular Shapes
B-Ball Music Songs 7" (Hate The 80s)
As the last will and testament of Popular Shapes, 'B-Ball Music' is clearly Popular Shapes' most focused and cohesive effort. Savvy listeners will be reminded of The Fall, Le Shok, The Victims and Wire within these two tracks, assuming they weren't knocked over by the sweaty bodies splashing wine from a box. Intricate guitar interplay coasts freely like the plot of The OC while squirmy vocals free themselves from a box. The emphasis is clearly on song-writing, but the exuberance of four boys patting each other shirtless remains as bright a glare as Ford Explorer floodlights. It's rare that a band comes along where all the pieces fit seamlessly, equally throbbing and subdued. -(label ) This is OOP as well. Get it here. On killer splatter vinyl with full color heavy-stock covers and labels, thus the price.. But well worth it.$5.50
